Lineups for Friday night and Todd Helton notes

by Ben Catley

First of all, I am wondering what it would be like if we had an Arizona Diamondback in town on a rehab assignment. What a media crush – six TV cameras (including TV reporters from Denver and Colorado Springs) and a handful of beat writers on hand for the Todd Helton press conference. It was interesting to say the least.

Secondly, the Osprey could care less who is here. Really. They want to win a few on this road trip, and if they manage to win a couple while Helton is in the lineup opposite of them, well, so be it.

It will be interesting to see how both teams preform in the lights of the moment and with the big crowd expected – both nights, they’re saying 5,000-6,000 may be on hand, or about double a normal crowd here in Grand Junction. Thanks to our fans, our guys will be ready.

By the way, more on our newest Osprey player tomorrow … for now, though, here are tonight’s starting lineups. Pre-game guest is starting pitcher for Saturday’s game, Chris Pack. We’re on again at 6:45 tonight, first pitch slated for 7:05, on AM 930 and on
