There was must speculation that Taylor was the best pitcher in Pioneer League, well facing #1 starters he was not up to it. Walters clearly the best!
Actually, Edwin Carl of the Idaho Falls Chukars is the best pitcher I’ve seen in the Pioneer League this season, but that’s another discussion for another day. No offense against Walters or Siemens or anyone else, but Carl is a different dude. One other thing, you can’t judge anyone on one game, no matter what the situation. Their RAs (using total runs) is actually similar – Walters at 4.39, Siemens at 4.16. The ERAs are 4.03 and 2.23, respectively, by the way. – Ben
